If you are new to CHEERS, or have some burning questions, we’re here to help. Here are the top questions we get asked about the CHEERS Registry.
Registering with CHEERS is easy. Visit us online at www.CHEERS.org and click the “Register” button in the top right corner. Choose your role type and fill in the required information. Under the provisions of the 45L New Energy Efficient Home Tax Credit, builders and developers may claim a $2,000 federal tax credit for each new home or dwelling unit that meets 45L energy efficiency requirements. Most new California homes qualify for this $2,000 credit. To learn more about 45L, visit https://www.cheers.org/45l-tax-credit.

To request signature of authority for CF2Rs, sign into CHEERS, and click the account icon in the upper right corner. Under Signature Authorizations, click Request New Authorization, enter the responsible person’s name to request authorization from the selected individual to sign on their behalf. To authorize signature of authority for CF2Rs, sign into CHEERS, and click the account icon in the upper right corner. Under Signature Authorizations, click “Grant New Authorization”. In the Smart Search, enter the company you would like to grant signature authorization to.
To add or remove a user from a company, sign in as a Primary User and click the company icon in the upper right corner. Under “Users”, click the hyperlink “Click to create new CHEERS user”. To remove a user, click the “X” next to the user’s name.
Anyone can express concerns about work performed by a certified CHEERS HERS Rater using the Quality Assurance Form found online at www.CHEERS.org/contact. On the right hand side, bottom blue box, click the “Quality assurance form” button to access the form and submit your concern.
