New Registry Feature Lets You Print CF-4Rs
Save Time and Stop Filling Out Forms By Hand
Tired
of scribbling down test data on blank CF-4R forms? New functionality in the
CHEERS Registry automatically generates a completely filled out CF-4R. Just sign
it, date it and send it where it needs to go.
You can access this new feature from the “Structure Details” screen, once you
have entered all of your verification data and the structure is approved. Just
click the “Generate CF-4R” link from the left-hand “Structures Actions” menu.
The CHEERS Registry generates a PDF that you can print, save and even e-mail as
an attachment.
“CHEERS is investing in technology so we can ease the administrative burden on
our raters. We know that the new 2005 standards are going to mean a lot more
paperwork, a lot more measures to verify, and most importantly, a lot more
opportunities for you to grow your business,” explains Tom Hamilton, CHEERS
Executive Director. “This new feature is going to save you a lot of time and
headache.”
The automatic CF-4R includes an official CHEERS watermark that lets the builder
and the building department know that a CHEERS-certified rater verified the
structure.
For raters who use HERS Mobile™, CHEERS’ new handheld tool, the automatic CF-4R
virtually eliminates the need to handwrite test data. HERS Mobile lets you enter
verification data electronically from the field. Test results automatically sync
to the CHEERS Registry, where you can navigate to your approved structures and
print the CF-4Rs.

HERS Mobile Receives National Media Coverage
CHEERS made headlines last month, when it became the nation’s first HERS
provider to launch a mobile tool specifically for home-energy raters. While the
application itself is simple, the technology behind it is anything but.
CHEERS partnered with three technology companies to build HERS Mobile, which
lets raters replace pencil-and-paper with a handheld device they can carry into
the field. A variety of publications covered how CHEERS’ use of mobile
technology saves raters time and money:
